Peace and social justice are strong themes throughout their repertoire and mission, bringing people together through harmony and understanding.

Dear Ella

Annie Patterson, Mary Witt, and Ann Percival are “Dear Ella” ... a trio from Western Massachusetts whose repertoire includes songs from jazz standards to blues to Motown to folk favorites.

The band’s name, inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, is a nod to the many women singers who have inspired them. Singing in harmony is something these three highly accomplished musicians have been doing their whole lives. Now, as “Dear Ella”, Ann, Mary & Annie bring their individual musicianship and talents together to form a dynamic trio. Annie (of Rise Up Singing) along with Mary & Ann (of The O-Tones) bring their beautiful harmonies with guitars, ukulele, bass, snare drum and banjo for a great sound

Old Musical Friends, Together Again ...

PAST EVENT:  Friday, June 28, 2024

Jim Armenti and Phillips Saylor Wisor

Jim Armenti ... Jim’s songwriting talents have earned him great respect in the music industry.  He names his primary musical influences as early Elvis, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, country music of the 1960’s, union music of the 1930’s, Depression songs, Bob Dylan and Italian love songs.

Jim’s unique, expert guitar and multi-instrument playing have mesmerized audiences for years and kept him in demand as a guitarist for other groups.  Among the many artists fortunate enough to have Jim play with them are Cry, Cry, Cry, Jimmy Ryan, Cheri Knight, Mark Erelli, Robin Lane, Andrew Jones & Spirithouse, Donna Lee Band, The Kennedys and Bill Kirchen.

Being in the Lonesome Brothers according to Jim is a great all-around time: making CDs, writing whatever he wants, playing to an audience that loves the songs and the longevity of being in the band and producing this music.

Phillips Saylor Wisor ... has been a veteran presence in the underground North American folk scene for 20 years.

His music is identifiable by the mountain banjo and his unique guitar style that combines Piedmont Blues, Bluegrass and Psychedelic Country influences.

The folk songs of Stripmall Ballads expose all the pretty things to be found in things that ain’t so pretty.

The Last Request

A one woman performance by Tracy Grammer

Book and music by Pete Nelson

This is a story of love, loss, and lessons learned. Katie Fitzgerald has returned to her childhood home to take care of her mother, Kedney, who is in hospice.  To make the time pass, Kedney comes up with a game and challenges her daughter to write a musical about her life, “and then you can sing it to me while I die.” Kedney’s extraordinary life was filled with passion, drama, humor, poetry, and for Katie, one significant surprise.

Katie, who tells the story, wants people to understand, and help her remember who her mother was.
